Birthday Baking

Last week at Incy Wincy's it was Amy and Karen's birthday, giving us the perfect opportunity to bake some cakes! In the Bumblebees Julia helped the children gather all the ingredients they would need and they were ready to bake. 

The children helped pour just the right amount of ingredients into a big bowl, scooping out the butter using a big spoon.They even cracked the eggs into a little bowl, feeling the textures. Once all the ingredients were in it was time to stir, each child had a turn and put lots of effort in shown in their facial expressions. 

If the children were not too sure about making the cakes, they were keen to put the cases one at a time into the spaces in the cake tin. It was then time for Steve to put the cakes into the oven to cook and for us to begin the countdown to the the taste test.
