Fairy Mud Slime

Shhhh can you hear that the fairies are coming? The girls wore glittery string around their head and told me they are the fairy queens as they mixed the fairy mud slime.
“if you eat the fairy slime you will turn into a slime fairy leaving behind a slime trail like a slug!”
The fairy theme continued later that day a fairy cave was created turning the Dragonfly room into a magical space. Fairy houses were built using the eco blocks and other materials in a variety of shapes and sizes. We have used our imagination creating representations of magical objects such as toadstools, fairy beds and stepping stones. Amongst their friends they told fairy stories helping each other come up with ideas. One of the group had recently had a visit from the tooth fairy, she told us that she left her magic golden coins under her pillow. The children were excited wondering if the fairies might come and visit us in the Dragonfly room. Shhhhh tiptoe, tiptoe..... Our eyes were wide with wonder when we found a trail of sparkly fairy dust coming from the window all the way to our fairy cave! “They have been, they have been” Inside the cave fairy music was playing inspiring the children as they used wooden lolly sticks, pegs and w
ooden spoons to make their own fairy models, they had long sparkly hair and beautiful felt dresses covered in buttons feathers and sparkles. It ended with a spell, waving fairy sticks collected from the park we chanted
“Abracadabra jolly ta boom you shall fly off to the moon!”
