Gardener's World
Posted on June 04, 2015
The garden developments are continuing as we create exciting spaces for the children. It caused all of us, even those who were here with the builders a little confusion when the steps moved one weekend with many staff, children and parents having to divert from the usual path. This change has been made for several reasons so that we can firstly create an outdoor area specifically for the babies making the most of the lovely French doors. Secondly we have gained a surprisingly large grassed area in the garden for the older children to enjoy. Lastly we have made use of what was previously a rather dull concreted area to create a new planter. In the nature garden new vegetable beds have been built, the mud kitchen improved and Leanne has taken delivery of her new Forest School resources, she will be inviting parents to join her around her fire pit in the near future. Finally in the front garden the shed will be transformed over the coming weeks into a workshop area with a workbench, tools and other materials inviting children to create and construct to their hearts content.
