Spring Bird Watch

Seeing one child's fascination as he watched a blackbird pulling worms up in the garden staff in the Ladybird Room have followed this interest offering new learning opportunities to the children.  After making their binoculars, creating models and looking at the features of some common garden birds the ladybirds planned a visit to the woods.  'Shhh!' they whispered to each other on the way, it wasn't long until they found a few feathers and decided that was the spot to make their bird hide.

This interest is continuing as the new bird feeders in our nursery gardens are attracting more and more feathered visitors to Incy Wincy's.
