Beautiful Boundaries

Families at Incy Wincy's have been letting us know how fantastic they think the new decked area is, we have to say we share their view. Parents will also notice that the work to improve the outside space continues as Tom, and his dad began to construct a new fence this weekend along the front play space and around the kitchen garden. It is important to us as a nursery that the setting feels homely and welcoming, while keeping the children safe and secure. We believe that the children should feel connected with their community and not be kept behind giant fences or walls. With that in mind the fence has been planned at a height that does just that, a safe boundary while allowing everyone to see the green spaces beyond that we can access so easily and to appreciate Incy Wincy's beautiful location.
The team are really looking forward to nursery families being able to walk around and take a look at this for themselves at our Garden Party on Sunday 22nd May. Hosted by our Parent Forum members this family fun event is in aid of Martin House Hospice. Many of our Dragonfly Room children are keen gardeners and in preparation for the weekend have already filled the new window planters with home grown pumpkins, lettuce and lavender. Having grown more plants than we needed the children will be selling these to the highest bidders at the weekend!
