Bright & Beautiful

The Bumble Bee children had fun last week experimenting with large and small movements in paint.  They mixed the paint colours together squishing it between their fingers before smudging it on the paper.  It is always amazing to see the different approaches individual children have to messy activities; some are very flamboyant, others choose to dab first with their finger tips, while a few prefer to use a brush and not get their hands dirty at all.  These activities give the children a chance to link their movements to the marks they make, building the foundations for the more refined marks as they grow older.  This bright and beautiful work of art is displayed in the kitchen for all to see, hopefully the colours in this will bring some cheer as the weather looks set to turn grey and rather wet over the next couple of days.
