Once upon a time

At Incy Wincy's we regularly share our love of stories knowing the benefit to children's communication and language development, so we knew that this would be too good an opportunity to miss.  During the week we will be celebrating some of our favourite stories, fairytales and family favourites leading to the children creating their own original stories to share with you.  To get us off to a super start we have invited Pippa Pixley, picturebook writer and storyteller to return on Monday 1st February.  Pippa will be bringing her puppets and props to help the children set off on an imaginative journey which we are sure will be full of original ideas (and some they may borrow from books and stories that are familiar to them). If you would like to learn more about Pippa please visit her website http://pippapixley.co.uk/  

During the week our staff are inviting family members into share stories at Stay & Play sessions in each individual playroom; Bumble Bees on Tuesday 2nd February, Ladybirds on Wednesday 3rd February and Dragonflies on Thursday 4th February.  We hope that mum, dads, grandparents, uncles or aunts may be able to join us at these sessions to share the fun.  There is a list in each playroom with the dates and times, please jot your name down if you will be coming along.
