RHS Success

Already proud of our recent Level 3 School Gardening Award Jess and the children have now submitted photographs and records of the work they've completed towards their Level 4.  To achieve this level the children needed to show how we used home grown produce in our yummy meals and learning activities.  It was easy to illustrate how all the children from our toddlers to our Out of School Rangers get involved in the gardening.  Leanne in particular has found that the staff and children use alot of mathematical language during the gardening activities; size, shape, measurements, time, number. As less progress is often seen in Maths than other areas of learning it is wonderful to see such natural development in the children while being busy and having fun outside.
