The Rangers - On the Move
Posted on January 22, 2016
Last term Mrs Turnbull Headteacher at Bedale Primary School informed us that the school needed to commence building work in 2016 to create the extra spaces they would need in future years, and that while this work is being carried out the school would sadly not be able to accommodate the Rangers, Out of School Club. We therefore wanted to let you know our plans so you may contact us to ask any questions you have before we make the move during February half term.
Leading upto Christmas we identified possible sites for the Out of School Club, weighing up all the advantages and disadvantages. The option that we have chosen is to use Bedale Children Centre, who have been incredibly supportive of this. There are a number of benefits:
- it is close to Incy Wincy’s allowing us to access the outdoor areas at nursery aswell as Bedale Park.
- it will allow us to use more of the equipment and resources available at the nursery according to the interests of the children.
- Steve our nursery chef will freshly prepare the tea alongside the nursery food and bring this to the Centre at 4pm each day
Since we moved the Out of School Club in 2014 we have acquired a minibus and we plan to use this to transport the children so that we do not need to return to the challenges of walking along the busy roads in bad weather.
The Rangers will be held at it's new base from 22nd February (first day of next half term) Rita and I will be inviting all families into the Children Centre before February half term so they can see the space, talk about the details of transporting (timings and our drivers) and what we can offer the children from this base. In the meantime if you have further questions about this change please do not hesitate to contact me by email, telephone or in person about these. Everyone at Incy Wincy's wishes the school well with their building project and will look forward to seeing the new spaces they create.
