Classical Twist
Posted on June 28, 2017
Despite the rain the Dragonfly Room have stayed firmly focused on Summer today, but with a twist. Rather than the weather the season that has created such a buzz is the violin concerto written by Vivaldi. The piece was played over lunchtime a few days ago and it has grabbed the attention of nearly everyone. Each child has had an active role; our construction workers have made their own violins from everyday bits and pieces, our natural performers have played these instruments to their friends, our movers twisted & turned, our investigators have asked dozens of questions about the instruments and our researchers have been working with us to find the answers.
The children keep going back to talk about the music so much so we have borrowed a violin for them to look at more closely. What we would really like is to hear from any Incy Wincy family members who play a classical instrument - especially if you could bring it along to show us in nursery.
